ARANSAS

We overnighted on the WalMart Parking Lot at Aransas Pass Texas. Given the time of the day, it would have put us into the Malaquite campground on Padre Island well after dark. The next morning we opted to eat breakfast locally at a great little place just north of the Aransas Pass ferry. The restaurant is open early on Sunday Morning and has a great Buffet set up for those Locals that have been to Early Mass. I had the Chorizo Con Huevos and the meal was of the finest caliber ! This video link is of the advance warning sign that advises of the wait time for the State operated Ferry, in actuality, we didn't have to wait at all. They just flagged us right on to the ferry.:
There is no charge to ride this State owned ferry system and it is as always, quite a cool experience to be hooked up to our Oliver and traveling across the salt water pass to Padre Island.
