FERRY

We always enjoy the ferry ride across  Aransas Pass as we near the Padre Island National Seashore. Here is a look at our last crossing. Video taken from across the hood of the Jeep and includes casual conversation with a ferry crew member during the short crossing.

LARGE FILE ALERT, 154MB

As you approach the ferry ramp, watch for the various crewmembers hand signals, They are monitoring the loading of the ferry and will direct your vehicle either Port,  Starboard or on the centerline. This loading directly effects the balance of the ferry. In our previous RV’s, both of them larger class A’s, they would place us up next to the island structure. This a unusual and pleasurable ride so just kick back and enjoy !
